The Making Of Super Metroid

The Making Of Super Metroid

Super Metroid, is my favourite game. I personally consider it to be perfect – there is absolutely nothing about the game I would change, it is a masterpiece. It’s one of the most genre-defining games that has ever been created, inventing the action exploration genre, and influencing untold game developers and designers to this very day, earning its spot as a pinnacle of what a game can be.

But how did it come about? How did it get this way? Join me in my history of Super Metroid, as I delve into the making of this classic, from conception to completion. I’m not going to review the game, or talk about it’s impact on gaming after it was released – that information has been covered a thousand times, and isn’t anything new. This is something different, this is the pitch, the creation, the design and development of an absolute classic. Welcome to The Making of Super Metroid

When it comes to Magic, there is nothing quite like cracking open some new packs and building a fresh deck to go toe to toe with your friends (or foes). A format in which you construct your deck there and then from "new" cards is referred to as a 'limited' format. This can be from drafting...

Movie Talks: Is Jurassic World worthy of the hype?

Everyone loves Jurassic Park. It is one of the great big budget summer block busters of all time. I might even go as far as to say that the film is near on perfect. However, it had some rather underwhelming and quite poorly recieved sequels. Fast forward 20 years and the franchise is back on...
